This day was really neat. It started out with our morning spent walking around the village. We were told to be praying for the people that lived there. It also gave us a glimpse into the simple Chinese lifestyle. It was so fascinating.
This is outside on the grounds of the orphanage. They have really neat playground equipment that the ayi's (nannies) take the kids out to play on.
I went back to see my sweet little guy. Take note of the girl next to hims bib, it says "Home Sweet Home". The sad reality that she doesn't have a 'home sweet home' hit me when I read that.
For supper we went to a nearby restaurant. As you can see, you can eat outside, but we had tables reserved for us inside. It was a very simple, unassuming, restaurant, but the food was so good!
Here's some of the food. Most of it did not look appealing at all, but a little taste proved it was very yummy.
Driving in China was a CRAZY experience to say the least. It seems there are no rules there. People drive how they want and where they want. Also, there wasn't a rule(to our knowledge) on how many people were allowed in a car. This worked out for us because our group of 20 had to squeeze into a van and a car. This picture is us girls in the back row and trunk of the van. It was exciting to say the least!
Us four girls volunteered to squeeze into the trunk. It was a tight fit but I won't forget it!

Ha Ha - the trunk pic is hilarious - totally reminds me of us growing up piling out of our little selica. I don't know how many we stuffed into the hatchback!! It is crazy how people drive in other countries isn't it (yet by God's amazing power you stay safe and even feel relatively safe) :-)
